When I saw this recipe for Orange rum hard sauce on the book of treats for Christmas I said to myself here is how I can make my Christmas be a little different, some people really look forward to Christmas and look carefully what the menu will be, shop for all the ingredients necessary to cook every meal and succeed! Other people stick to what they know and just cook what’s traditional. If so you wanna dip whatever your eating (turkey, Chicken, etc) in this sauce which is super easy to make, it only takes 10 minutes.

Orange rum hard sauce
Ingredients
4 oz/115 g unsalted butter or substitute (smart balance 50/50)
Brown sugar
1 Finely grated rind orange
Pinch of all spice
3 tbsp of Rum

Cream the butter in a bowl until it is very smooth and soft. Gradually beat in the sugar, orange grind, and all spice. Add the rum, a little at a time, beating well after each addition and taking care not to let the mixture curdle.
Spoon the orange rum hard sauce into a small serving dish, cover with plastic wrap, and let chill until required.
